Prabhu Deva-directed ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ which was, until now, under the AGS Entertainment banner, has shifted hands to Sun Pictures. Sources indicate that this might have been one of the reasons for the delay in the release of the film.

Reports suggest that Sun Pictures acquired AGS’ ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ for a hefty price but the numbers have not been disclosed. The last film to release with the AGS tag was ‘Yudhan Sei’, a crime thriller that saw director-actor Cheran as a die-hard cop. The film has received good reviews from the critics.

‘Engeyum Kadhal’ has ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Hansika Motwani playing the lead roles. The film received a clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board last Wednesday. The subject of ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ deals with a breezy love story that has not been seen for long in the theatres of Tamil Nadu. The director of the film has stated that anybody who is in love would easily be able to bond with the characters in the film.

‘Engeyum Kadhal’ will be released in April, though a tentative date has not been confirmed yet. Sources also indicate that Sun Pictures have got the rights of ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ after seeing the teasers, which have all the ingredients for the film to become an instant hit. ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ is sure to chill you out with its breezy locations of Paris and the Mediterranean this scorching summer!
